Up until a few years ago, I was never known to be a person who believed so much in Ayurveda that I do now. How did that transition in the beliefs happen? Well, I must say , the fact that this ancient Indian medical practice is cost effective and have long lasting effects and the biggest of them all being, the no side effects things made me try this and I could proudly say that I was quite satisfied with what I got. That interested me to the limit that I wanted to do some more research on the topic and the research brought me to Kerala.
Kerala is the south Indian state which is said to have been the birthplace of the Ayurveda and for thousands of years now, it has been the world’s capital when it comes to Ayurveda. Ayurveda in Kerala is as old as the city itself and there are so many institutes that have the studies of Ayurveda in their curriculum. One other reason for Kerala being the centre in India is that it is the greenest states all the country and the huge amount of some very useful flora and fauna is found here in abundance which makes it an ideal place to open and Ayurveda research centre.
I visited one of the leading centres in the state and in the country, for that matter and I gathered some knowledge about it. The main objective of Ayurveda is to maintain a harmony of various different elements in the body by removing the toxins. The centres that offers the best Kerala Ayurveda package are: Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort near Kovalam, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Shala which is a hospital, Beach and Lake Ayurveda Resort and Surya Samudra Spa Niraamaya at Trivandrum, Keraleeyam Ayurvedic resort near Alleppey, Kairali, Rajah Ayurveda and Ayurkshethra at Kumarakom.
